The condition for peace in the Middle East
This book addresses the tenet that a political solution for true peace in the Middle East, and therefore in the world, can only ensue from a religious solution. Central to this concept stands the identity and the Messianic destination of the Jewish people. The author asserts that the status this people have before God also concerns the Arab brother nations. According to Dr. Leenhouts, the true catholicism of the congregation of the Lord will be impossible to realise without fulfilment of the calling regarding the ‘ruined hut of David’.
Also the Jewish people will find it impossible ‘to come home’ in peace by the secular road now being followed nor to arrive at their promised status of kingdom of priests in the Messianic time without the restoration of the ‘Pentecostal altar’ in the gentile world. In analogy to the old Mount Carmel history a ‘competition of the altars’ will be the prelude of the Messianic peace for Jewry, the Islam and Christianity alike. The author sees the foundation of the State of Israel in 1948 as a test case, an examination whether the words of Jesus in Matthew 23:38 and 39 will prevail.
